How to: hide the widget

The Widget appears in the lower right-hand corner, with the title ‘Inline Manual’. It provides a menu of content such as a list of walkthroughs or articles. However, if you want to hide the widget from your application, you can do it in few simple clicks. Note that it won’t remove the Inline Manual player from your site. The automation and analytics will still work.

In this article, we’ll show you how to hide the widget.

To hide the widget:

  1. Login to the Inline Manual portal with your e-mail and password.

  2. Go to Sites and choose the desired site.

  1. Go to the Settings tab.

  1. Go to Player settings.

  1. Scroll down to the Panel trigger section and mark Hide trigger. You can also hide the widget for mobile devices (all mobile devices that are smaller than a tablet) by checking Hide trigger only for mobile devices.

  1. Confirm with Save button.

If you want to hide the widget on specific pages, you can use a CSS code:

.inmplayer-trigger { display: none; }

Your application might have specific class in the body tag, for example:

Then, if you want to hide the widget only on frontpage you could use:

.page-frontpage .inmplayer-trigger { display: none; }

You can paste the code under your Site settings -> Player appearance -> CSS tab or include it as part of your application.

Using the setOptions method, you can set whether the player widget will be shown or not:

line_manual_player.setOptions({hide_trigger: true})

You can set it to be hidden by default (at Player settings -> Panel trigger) and set the hide_trigger to false instead.

If you find the widget is still appearing after following the steps above, check the advice on troubleshooting the widget display.
