How to: assign topics to a site

In Inline Manual, when you can create a topic, you can assign it to multiple sites. When you assign a topic to a site, it becomes available in the widget. Assigning topics to a site is easy. In just a few simple clicks, you can add already created topics to the desired site. In this article, we’ll show you how to do it.

Assigning topics to a site

To add a topic to a site:

  1. Login to the Inline Manual portal with your e-mail and password.

  2. Go to Sites and choose a site you want to add topics for.

  1. In the Topics tab, on the right side, you will have a list of topics that you can add to a site. You can filter the list to see desired topics. You can use filters such as yours, starred, public and all. And if you use multiple languages for your topics, you can also filter the list by the language. Except for filtering, you can use the search.

  1. Find a relevant topic and click Add. You will see that the icon has changed.

  1. The topic will appear under the Topics tab. Take note that the topic is still invisible on the widget at this point.

  2. To make a topic visible in the widget, follow this tutorial.

To remove the topic from a site

  1. While within a Site, find a relevant topic on the list of Topics.

  2. Click “x” button to remove the topic from the site.

  1. If the topic is in use (eg. in autolaunchers), you won't be able to remove it. Delete the autolauncher first, then proceed with removing the topic from the site.
